This is the italian translation of the blog "Shine ...until tomorrow" by Sean Patrick Flanery created by fan. This blog was created with the intention of making Sean's words reach even an Italian public that has little or no knowledge of English.
Questa é la traduzione italiana del blog "Shine ...until tomorrow" di Sean Patrick Flanery creato da fan. Questo blog nasce con l'intenzione di far raggiungere le parole di Sean anche ad un pubblico italiano che abbia poca o nulla conoscenza dell'inglese.
My name is Erika. I discovered Sean Patrick Flanery in 1992 (27 years ago) with "The chronicles of Young Indiana Jones", I was 8 and since then he has been a "refuge" for me. Although it was not easy to find all his films here in Italy, my collection is complete and always up to date. Over time I reached his blog and his book "Jane Two" (which I translated into Italian for myself, Sean has the only existing paper copy), to use his own words "there are people that you meet who recalibrate your direction" and he was exactly that for me. I was pushed to translate anything he published so I could get his words even to those who don't have English skills, for this reason I also created a facebook page that I always keep up to date. I met Sean for the first time in September 2018, and it was much more than a dream come true, and every time it is always magical...
Il mio nome é Erika. Ho scoperto Sean Patrick Flanery nel 1992 (27 anni fa) con "Le Avventure del giovane Indiana Jones", avevo 8 anni e da allora é stato un "rifugio" per me. Nonostante non sia stato facile reperire tutti i suoi film qui in Italia, la mia collezione é al completo e sempre aggiornata. Col tempo ho raggiunto questo blog ed il suo libro "Jane Two" (che ho tradotto in italiano per me stessa, l'unica copia cartacea esistente ce l'ha direttamente Sean), per usare le sue stesse parole "ci sono persone che incontri che ricalibrano la tua direzione" e lui é stato esattamente questo per me. Sono stata spinta a tradurre qualsiasi cosa lui pubblicasse in modo da poter far arrivare le sue parole anche a chi non ha una conoscenza dell'inglese, per questo motivo ho anche creato una pagina facebook che tengo sempre aggiornata. Ho incontrato Sean per la prima volta a settembre 2018, ed é stato molto piú di un sogno che si realizza, ed ogni volta é sempre magico...
My name is Pina. I am a girl with many passions, among which stand out: astronomy, cinema, music, travelling and writing; the latter is closed in a drawer for the moment but in 2013 I published a novel in Italy entitled: "Would you accept me even if I was different?", a story of love and diversity of which I am very proud.
I have been friends with Erika for several years and thanks to her I discovered Sean Patrick Flanery. It all started when she asked me for a hand with the translations she was making of his blog and his book and I, with pleasure, helped her and, helping her, I got to read and appreciate his words and those of his Grandaddy. I found in these so much wisdom and motivation to give the best of oneself to achieve one's goals and to become a better person. And, in light of this, I could do nothing but accompany Erika in her project of creating a translation of Sean's blog.
Il mio nome è Pina. Sono una ragazza con molte passioni, fra le quali spiccano: l’astronomia, il cinema, la musica, i viaggi e la scrittura; quest’ultima per il momento è chiusa in un cassetto ma nel 2013 ho pubblicato un romanzo in Italia intitolato: “Mi accetteresti anche se fossi diverso?”, una storia di amore e diversità di cui vado molto fiera.
Sono amica di Erika da diversi anni e grazie a lei ho scoperto Sean Patrick Flanery. Tutto è iniziato quando lei mi ha chiesto una mano con le traduzioni che stava facendo del suo blog e del suo libro e io, con piacere, l’ho aiutata e, aiutandola, ho avuto modo di leggere e apprezzare le sue parole e quelle del suo Grandaddy. Ho trovato in queste tanta saggezza e motivazione a dare il meglio di se stessi per raggiungere i propri obiettivi e per diventare una persona migliore. E, alla luce di questo, non potevo fare altro se non accompagnare Erika in questo suo progetto di creare una traduzione del blog di Sean.
